Hey Everybody,
Brandon here back with another new 2 minute tuesday! I think I almost got this one to be around the 2 minute mark for the tutorial portion, so yay me!
Anyways, back to the video, in todays TMT I go over one of the best and most common ways to save a ton of time in AutoCAD, customizing your commands/Alias! It used to be a bit of a pain to change command alias using a text editor and modifying the .pgp (program parameter) file manually but for a while now this option has been conveniently included in the ribbon bar and with it’s own dialog boxes.
Side note: This trick is actually mentioned in my book: The AutoCAD Productivity Handbook as one of the ways I recommend for helping save you time and be a more productive drafter.
The video shows you step by step how to go about creating an new alias for a common command as well as how to change or remove the shortcut of an existing command, check it out and let me know what you will change?:)
Don’t forget to let me know what autocad tip, trick or tutorial you’d like to see in the next one!
Let me know what you’d like to see in an upcoming video and make sure to subscribe and follow me on twitter @cadintentions for more videos and tutorials!
As always, thank you so much for watching, and don’t forget to let me know what tip, trick or tutorial you’d like to see next in the comments or if you’re having issues with your sheet sets.
Cheers and happy drafting!
Just in case you haven’t seen it yet, I recent wrote and AutoCAD book: The AutoCAD Productivity Handbook
