AutoCAD 2022 New Feature: How to Count Blocks Quickly | 2 Minute Tuesday

Hey Everybody!

Brandon here and I’m excited to share this week’s video with you all. Today we are taking a look at a brand new feature in AutoCAD 2022 and it is honestly one that I have been waiting to have for a long time!

Block Counting or COUNT as it’s called in this year’s new release is a really great tool that’s been added to help keep track of blocks and in particular, the running count of them used in a drawing.

By using the COUNT tool we can automatically pull the block count of any block within the drawing, giving us a whole new range of possibilities when using this new field option.

In the example we go through, I show you how to easily use this new feature to create a Materials Table that will automatically update and, using a formula, calculate a cost based on the number of blocks in the drawing.

Check out just a few of the new possibilities available with the new COUNT feature:

That’s all for today’s quick Autocad Tip, I hope you all were able to take something away from it and able to add a new tool to your CAD toolbox!
